Don't Forget About The "M" In WAHM

So you feel like supermom some days and wish you could crawl under a rock on others?

As a work at home mom do you ever feel like you are running in circles all day. Going 100 MPH to stay in the game. I know I have. As mothers we know that we have a lot to take care of. The kids, the house, the spouse, the pets, and then add to that your business too. Of course when you work at home you do not have a office where you can leave all that other stuff behind.

Sure we have microwave ovens and computers that send email at the speed of light and fast cars or should I say kid taxi so that we can keep up with the RUSH. But our bodies can only go so fast for so long. Women have come a long way. We wear more hats today then at any other time. Give yourselves a hand and a break, you deserve it.

We should all schedule in some "M" time into our busy routine. I know the one thing I had a hard time doing was eating and making sure I was getting the right nutrients so that I could keep on going and going and going. One day I decided that I was going to take the my vitamins (Nutritional Supplements and Vitamins) and not FORGET, yes I have a hard time with forgetting things. Once I added it to my routine it started to get easier to remember. For example when I get up in the morning I love to have a cup of hot tea, OK a few cups. So I get up and stumble over the dogs as I get to the back door to let them out, all I am thinking about is my TEA. Putting them by my tea cups helps me to remember to take them. Now with little thought we have the Vitamins taken care of.

Your health dictates your outlook on life. When you feel good everything is better. So we need to think about FOOD, yes do not forget to eat. Eating the proper diet can make the difference in how we feel and how well we think. Remember wanting to serve your kids the best nutritional meals and making sure that they have their servings of fruits and veggies, that goes for moms too! Even if you think you are to busy for a meal, grab a banana or apple as you rush out the door to take the kids to school.

We have vitamins, supplements and eating right, now you need some "M" time. Start with 30 minutes a week and try to add to that over time. Maybe a nice warm bubble bath, or just sitting on the porch in the swing with a good book. My "M" time is first thing in the morning and the last 30 minutes before I go to bed. This lets me start the day fresh and go to bed with a clear head. That for me leads to better sleep. Can you imagine a WAHM getting quality sleep. OK so it does not happen every night, but I do get more quality sleep now, then when I was falling in the bed right out of a RUSH.

As I said before, women do remarkable things. Just think of what we could do if we have more energy and our bodies were in top notch shape. Doing a few simple things for ourselves can make a big difference in how we feel. We could rule the world! Maybe we already do and no one is brave enough to say so. Whatever your calling is in life, be sure to take care of you, the MOM.
