Of all the different internet business resources that you can use
to promote your home business, viral marketing comes in at the
top of the list. You can use VM to get virtually thousands of
targeted visitors to your website, and it costs very little to
put into action.
Creating a simple but useful eBook or special report is an easy
way to put VM to work for your online home business. Provide
information to your target market that they can use, and educate
them about how your product or service can help them even more.
Don't make your eBook just an advertisement for your product,
though. Tactfully include small sidenotes regarding your services
as the content moves on. This viral eBook or report will be
free-of-charge to your interested prospect. You must provide a
solution to a real problem that they have. Only then will your
free eBook be of value to them.
Make the ads you will use to get people to download your eBook
appealing to your target customer. Stress the one major benefit
that the reader will get. Make them want your eBook. Your
offering must be unique and have perceived value by your reader,
so it won't get lost in the crowd of thousands of worthless free
eBooks floating around the internet.
When creating your eBook, you can choose one of two popular
formats to use. You can spend some cash for an eBook compiler,
but your document will only be readable on Windows-based PCs.
Your other option is to write your eBook in Ms Word to begin
with. Once it is complete, you can go to the Adobe.com website
and use their Adobe PDF Creator demo for free. Make sure that
your eBook is completely finished, as you only get to convert one
document to PDF at no cost. This is a great way to save some
money, since the full-blown Adobe Acrobat software that I use to
create PDFs runs more than $200US. The big advantage of creating
a PDF document is that it can be viewed on a PC or a Mac, using
the fr~ee Adobe Reader software. Most computers have this PDF
reader already, so they can read your eBook instantly. Being more
accessible gives your product greater market reach. I'm sure you
wouldn't mind selling to Mac users, as well as PC users.
Besides running ezine ads to get people to download your eBook,
you will want to submit it to the eBook submission directories.
Many of these sites get a good amount of traffic. The visitors
find their desired category and look for titles that sound
helpful. Make sure you use the major benefit in your title, and
people will download your eBook.
Allow your readers to give away or sell your eBook, and the viral
process begins. Every copy of your eBook will have links to your
product in it. You can give the reader incentive to give it away
by letting them use their affiliate links in the book. Tell them
that they can sell it and keep all of the money, and your eBook
will really get around. The end result will be a steady stream of
sales.
