All that an entrepreneur is, is someone who sees and does the simple things that others disregard as silly or pointless.They see trends and needs in the population and fulfil them.
A fellow marketer friend of mine called John does just that and I'd like to tell you about a very informative conversation we had and one that I think will get your creative juices flowing:
GREAT IDEAS ARE STARING YOU IN THE FACE
I was talking to a friend the other day, who is an absolute expert at finding cheap alternative ways to get Free and low cost advertising and I asked him some of the methods that he uses.
After twisting his arm and offering him all sorts of bribes he finally agreed to tell me the one thing that has made him thousands in the past and helped him to run 10 successful businesses.
His answer was "Thinking Outside the Box"
"Is that it", I asked puzzled.
Eventually he elaborated to tell me that most people ignore the obvious in place of high cost methods that may work for some but not all. And in fact leave most people broke and with no sales.
He went on to ask if I was marketing my site at every moment of the day. and until he continued I was of the impression that I was.
SIMPLE METHODS YOU COULD APPLY TOMMOROW TO INCREASE YOUR WEALTH
These are some of the methods he explained that I am missing in my business and what he feels I should do daily.
These are simple methods that you too could apply to any opportunity that you are promoting
* Print a cheap A5 leaflet with your web address and stick it on the back of your windscreen. Assuming you drive but if not why not your suitcase or even the frame of your bike LOL - My one reads
"Unlimited Profits go to http://www.etenterprises.co.uk"
(Simple but effective)
* Get a bumper sticker and print your website name on it place this on your back bumper
* Get a stamp with your site address on and stamp it in the corner of a £5 note (you could do this 100 times in front of the TV) imagine the amount of people that will see your URL from this
* Print your business card in the form of a A5 leaflet with strong copy about the benefits of your product including your site URL. The next time you meet another entrepreneur in your travels just hand them one - this gives you a chance to give more benefits than on a small card.
* Write press releases about your site and product and submit to as many online and offline publications that you can find. You only need 1 or 2 to print them and you'll get a wealth of FREE traffic and orders.
* If you do any advertising offline use cheap line ads and attempt to get respondents email details so you can keep in touch cheaply and inform them of any new offers and promotions you are running.
These are the best of the hoards of stuff he gave me. But as always it is a matter of applying them. So go ahead and get some Free and low cost traffic for practically no effort.
Start trying to think outside the box yourself. Just take five minutes and see how many alternative marketing methods you come up with. You might surprise yourself.
